The modern rishta game needed a better system.
So we built oneConsider using this if you need to provide more context on why you do what you do. Be engaging. Focus on delivering value to your visitors.
South Asian singles in the US and Canada have more options than ever. More apps, more profiles, more ways to meet.
Access went up.
Clarity did not.
People still have to guess who is serious, who is aligned, and who is just passing time. Compatibility often shows up too late, after weeks of texting, a few half-planned coffee dates, and one person realizing the timelines were never close.
For South Asians, compatibility is rarely just “do we vibe?”
It can include personality, communication style, faith, family expectations, lifestyle, culture, timelines, emotional readiness, and whether this could actually work in real life.
That is the gap Rishta Auntie exists to close.
Traditional matchmaking had context. Modern apps have access.
A generation ago, the rishta process had structure.
Families knew families. Cousins knew reputations. Aunties understood community background, values, and marriage intent.
That system had flaws. Too much pressure. Too little autonomy. Too much depending on who your parents happened to know.
Modern apps fixed part of the problem. They gave South Asian singles more independence and more reach. You could meet someone outside your immediate circle without a mutual uncle getting involved.
But access alone does not create clarity.
Generic platforms are not built around the South Asian experience. They do not always make intent visible. They do not make it easy to understand family expectations, faith, lifestyle, timelines, or long-term fit early enough.
So users end up with more profiles, more chats, and more emotional investment before they know whether the match makes sense.
South Asian singles deserve a better process.
What we built
Rishta Auntie is a compatibility-first, marriage-focused app for South Asian singles in the US and Canada.
At the center of RA is the Rishta Compass, our proprietary compatibility framework.
The Rishta Compass helps users understand alignment, potential friction, and long-term fit earlier in the process. It gives people better signals and better starting points for the conversations that matter.
It is not a promise that one quiz or score can tell you who to marry.
It is a way to make the process less vague.
RA is built around:
Marriage-focused profiles
MBTI and personality insights
The Rishta Compass
Video profiles
Voice notes
Selfie verification
Clearer prompts
Culturally aware matchmaking
The goal is simple: help serious South Asian singles understand each other better before they invest time, energy, and feelings.
Our framework
Intent → compatibility → trust → momentum
A better rishta process needs all four.
Intent
People should be able to tell who is serious and what they are looking for earlier in the process.
Compatibility
The Rishta Compass helps users understand where they may align, where friction may exist, and what topics are worth discussing sooner.
Trust
Safety, verification, profile quality, and cultural understanding shape whether people feel comfortable showing up seriously.
Momentum
A match is only the beginning. The real work is moving from interest to better conversations, and from better conversations to real potential.
How we got here
More importantly, we saw what South Asian singles were actually dealing with: unclear intent, thin profiles, ghosting, trust issues, and conversations that rarely moved with purpose.
Cleaner product. Sharper positioning. Better understanding of what serious South Asian matchmaking needs.
The question became simple:
Would this help someone find more clarity with less guessing?
Personality insights. Clearer signals. Better conversation starting points. More context before emotional investment.
Same mission.
Sharper product.
Better signals for people who are serious about marriage.
What we believe
Compatibility should show up before feelings get involved.
Intent should be visible early, not three weeks and one almost-situationship later.
Culture is context. Faith, family expectations, lifestyle, and long-term vision are part of what makes a match work.
Technology should support the rishta process, not flatten it into a swipe.
Serious does not have to mean stiff.
The modern rishta process should give people more clarity, not more confusion.
Built from experience
RA was founded by two Pakistani-American founders who understand both sides of the modern rishta process: the cultural expectations and the product reality.
We are both married, and we know this process is rarely just about attraction.
It is about values, timing, family, faith, lifestyle, emotional readiness, and long-term fit.
We launched our first MVP in 2022. We learned from real users. Then we rebuilt with a clearer mission.
RA is being built because this process already matters deeply to our community, and the tools around it should be better.
Our promise
You should not have to choose between modern matchmaking and cultural understanding.
RA is for the South Asian single who wants something serious, but does not want to feel lost in the modern rishta chaos.
We are here to make the process feel clearer, more intentional, and more aligned with what actually matters.
